This is especially true for specialised retailers like optometrists, where clinical precision must meet high-end fashion. Regiment Workshop is proud to showcase our fit-out for MST. Optometrist in Westfield Miranda, an example of modern retail design and expert craftsmanship.
The challenge: aligning fit-out to brand identity
MST. Optometrist needed a space that reflected the premium quality of their eyewear collections and their trustworthy clinical services. The challenge lay in balancing a welcoming atmosphere with a cutting-edge aesthetic that would stand out in a bustling shopping centre like Westfield Miranda.
Design & innovation: where science meets style
Drawing inspiration from the concepts of light and optics, the retail design revolves around fluidity and precision.
The most striking feature is the extensive use of flowing, architectural curves. Counters and walls, clad in a unique perforated metal sheeting, guide customers on a seamless journey through the space. This signature material, finished in a cool silver-blue, creates a semi-transparent effect, playing with light and shadow to build visual interest without overwhelming the senses.
The colour palette, a sophisticated blend of greys and whites reminiscent of a modern gallery, allows for the vibrant colours of the eyewear to take centre stage. An exposed black ceiling grid adds a touch of industrial chic, while a bold pop of orange in the cabinetry injects energy and warmth into the fit-out.
Detailed craftsmanship
A visionary retail design requires flawless fit-out execution, and this is where the skill of the Regiment Workshop project team shone.
We designed and constructed a trio of magnificent arched display cases to house luxury brands like Gucci, Prada, and Tom Ford. Each arch is beautifully illuminated with integrated LED lighting. This feature wall not only serves as a powerful sales tool but also as an unmistakable statement of quality.
The curved sales counter and integrated wall displays were meticulously crafted to appear as if they grew organically from the walls themselves. Achieving such a seamless finish with the perforated metal required precision fabrication and skill in joinery.
