Located in The Galeries shopping centre which is connected to Town Hall train station, Senpais.jp is a retail clothing store that immerses visitors in a bold, anime-inspired universe.

Senpais.jp was designed by Basalt Studio and brought to life by Regiment Workshop in late 2024. The shop fit-out merges our construction factory’s precise detailing with the imaginative flair of the client’s brand.

From the ceiling, stylised silhouettes of flying characters float above the central display zone, suspended via fine cabling from a reworked overhead ceiling grid. These sculptural elements add a sense of movement and surrealism to the space.

Gloss-laminated display tables, vinyl-wrapped units, and audio-sensitive lighting give the interior a slick, playful aesthetic. Just like the Japanese subculture-inspired streetwear products, the environment was designed to be edgy.

Bespoke apparel racks were fabricated in-house and powder-coated to match the graphic palette. Every care was taken to anchor the shopfit into a narrative coherent with our client’s brand.

The walls are clad with large-scale digital prints and custom-cut panels, forming a high-impact backdrop that reflects the vibrancy of Japanese youth culture. The result is a visual playground where retail meets rebellion.
