Barbershop in Eastern Creek
Located in the expansive Eastern Creek Quarter Outlet, Bladesmen Barbers represents an urban-industrial evolution of the traditional barbershop aesthetic.
The Interior Design vision
Basalt Studio’s vision for the space focused on an industrial, street-style aesthetic that feels both polished and grounded.
The design uses a monochromatic base of charcoal and concrete textures. Punctuated by vibrant orange branding and perforated metal wall features, Bladesmen Barbers feels like a modern and welcoming space for the Eastern Creek community.
Flooring for a High Traffic Environment
The striped, high-contrast flooring is a visually pleasing complement to the suspended ceiling lights. The customer feels at ease when they walk in. Their gaze is intuitively guided from the point-of-sale island to the barber stations.
Durable Joinery and Metal Fabrication
The custom joinery is the backbone of Bladesmen Barbers. It features charcoal, wood-grain styling stations that are both water-resistant and built for daily commercial use.
Regiment Workshop fabricated slim floating metal shelves that sit flush against perforated feature walls. These display premium grooming merchandise in an aspirational way.
From our Bankstown factory, the woodworking team crafted a minimalist look for the workstations.
Construction in ECQ Outlet
As part of the fitout, we installed frosted glass detailing on the wall. This creates a distinct and professional zone for the grooming area.
The team’s ceiling work integrated the silver pendant lighting and linear LED bars. As well as being stylish interior design elements, these provide reliable lighting for the barbers. In the wall cladding process, the team ensured that durable and textured material was used.
Workstation Ergonomics and Workflow Layout
The styling stations were built for workflow efficiency and provide barbers with ample movement space. We integrated recessed storage units and heavy duty countertops to handle frequent maneuvering of hairdressing equipment.
The result are highly functional workspaces that feel like a pieces of custom furniture.
Specialised Project Management
Navigating a fitout within a major shopping centre like Eastern Creek Quarter demands rigorous project management. All safety and shopping centre compliance standards needed to be met. Regiment Workshop coordinated every trade from plumbing for the shampoo stations to electrical for the signage.
The result was a seamless handover to our client, Bladesmen Barbers.
Our delivery team maintained constant communication with Basalt Studio to ensure the final construction remained completely faithful to the original design intent.
