Brooks Running is an established American footwear and apparel company that specialises in high-quality shoes made for runners. The brand is known for its innovation and a “Run Happy” philosophy that caters to competitive athletes and casual enthusiasts.

For Brooks Running’s location at Eastern Creek Quarter, the objective was to create a retail environment showing its full range of products. Regiment Workshop provided shopfitting services that resulted in a clean and industrial-style aesthetic that is pleasant for customers to browse in.

Shopfront and Entry Portal
The shopfront is defined by a cobalt-blue, floor-to-ceiling portal that draws the eye into the retail floor. This expansive portal utilises a perforated metal mesh wrap, illuminated from within to create an aura of energy.

White, prominent lettering features on both vertical columns and the centre of the portal’s header. With the cobalt blue background, the letters are a high-contrast greeting to customers.

Internal Layout and Zoning
Inside, the floor plan is organised into distinct zones for Men’s Running and Women’s Running. The ceiling’s silver foil insulation, structural steel beams, and mechanical ducting reinforces the industrial theme.

Lighting is delivered via an intricate, black track-head system and circular LED “halo” rings. The flooring is a polished concrete finish, providing a durable and neutral base that allows each product’s colours to remain the focal point.

Custom Joinery and Wall Systems
The perimeter of the store features expansive, wall-mounted shelving units. Supplied by Apex Displays, these wall units provide sturdy platforms to display Brooks’ extensive shoe collection. The white, powder-coated finish adds to the fitout’s clean aesthetic.

Central to the floor are custom-built, nested display cabinets. These cabinets feature perforated metal side panels – echoing the entry portal – and white timber tops. Several display plinths, expertly assembled by Regiment Workshop, are used to highlight hero mannequins near the entrance. These plinths are in the brand’s signature colours of cobalt blue, primary yellow, and industrial grey.
Perimeter Detailing and Signage
The upper sections of the wall units are topped with large-format bulkheads featuring a soft, concrete-look texture. These bulkheads depict each department in black block lettering.

Vertical mirrors are strategically placed between shelving bays to create a sense of depth and facilitate footwear trials. The integration of high-definition digital screens behind the point-of-sale and along key sightlines allows Brooks ECQ to show seasonal running content.
