bp petrol station in Summer Hill
In 2025, Regiment Workshop contributed to the fitout process of bp petrol station in Summer Hill, a suburb in Sydney’s inner-west. This bp location offers a wide range of services for drivers of trucks and cars, including petrol fuelling and barista coffee.
Regiment Workshop was responsible for a significant part of the convenience store’s joinery. The project team built merchandising islands, modular shelving units, and terracotta-toned feature columns.
To create a convenient browsing experience, three large merchandising aisles were positioned in front of the frozen yoghurt machine. These merchandising aisles were created using custom joinery techniques, and incorporate spaces for efficient product display.
On both ends of each aisle, cylindrical columns support the structure. These columns are wrapped in terracotta-coloured tiles that have been vertically-aligned. This custom joinery elevates the aesthetic of what would otherwise be functional shopfitting components.
Spacious convenience store
After re-fuelling, customers of bp Summer Hill find themselves in a convenience store like no other. A wide range of products are stocked, from daily household essentials, freshly cooked meals, to items that are found in supermarkets. There is even a frozen yoghurt machine!
To build on the pleasant “lifestyle mini mart” design of bp Summer Hill, Regiment Workshop created gondola display islands. Each features a distinctive white-grey finish, with a fluted texture to harmonise with the modern style of the convenience store. The rounded edges are particularly easy to look at.
Local luxury treats are displayed in a calm yet captivating retail environment.
Custom display counter joinery
This low-line display counter was built in Regiment Workshop’s factory in Bankstown. Sculptural forms support the base and add an earthy colour contrast to the otherwise light and modern interior.
Straight and curved edge white platforms serve as prominent displays for premium products, such as flower bouquets.
Standout white cladding
To add dynamism to the wall fitout of bp Summer Hill, Regiment Workshop added textured cladding. The material is vertically ribbed, corrugated in appearance – allowing for a soft interplay between lighter and darker tones.
The lightweight, white matte cladding forms the backdrop for the frozen yoghurt section as well as the extensive refridgerated drinks section.
Customer service, counter, and back office fitout
This main food preparation and service counter is constructed with extensive white, handleless base cabinetry topped by a durable, light-coloured stone benchtop to accommodate commercial food equipment.
A prominent section of the service counter joinery features clean, white panels on the base cabinetry and a light-coloured, curved stone benchtop.
The back office area combines functional storage with clean design elements. The upper wall is clad in the distinctive, vertical, terracotta-toned tiled surface. Robust white metal shelving is used for stock storage.
