About the client
Colour Loft is an Australian-owned boutique salon network, with branches in western Sydney suburbs including Liverpool, Edmondson Park, Merrylands, and Ingleburn. The brand is dedicated to delivering premium hairdressing, styling, and personal care.
Project Overview: Boutique Hair Salon Fit-out
Located on Level 1 near David Jones in Westpoint Blacktown shopping centre, Colour Loft combines balayage and colour-in expertise with a full-service hair-dressing experience.
Regiment Workshop managed the commercial fitout from initial scope discussion to final handover to the client. Services delivered include custom joinery, fabrication, and lighting. The result is a distinctive salon in western Sydney that blends modern design with pop-culture flair.
Project management began with understanding the design brief from Be Creative Studio and the physical layout of the tenancy. Fitout items were fabricated in our factory in Bankstown.
Marilyn Monroe feature wall
The shopfront features a bold header sign and clean glass display shelving that showcases hair products. Upon entering, client attention is immediately drawn to a striking Marilyn Monroe pop-art feature wall. Underneath the portrait of the American icon, leather bench seating is clad in vibrant crimson.
This expressive entrance establishes a charming atmosphere while providing a comfortable waiting zone for clients.
Bespoke Joinery and styling station design
Custom joinery forms the backbone of the salon floor. Styling stations feature arched mirrors backlit with a warm glow, golden globe sconces, and sleek dark countertops.
The space in the middle of Colour Loft Blacktown is well optimised. A seating island featuring a double-sided mirror accommodates treatment consultations. Recessed cabinetry sits close by, optimising accessibility when the salon gets busy.
Tailored hairwash area & ambient lighting
Towards the rear of Colour Loft, hair washing stations display ergonomic design and comfort. Clients rest on plush reclining chairs while stylists provide treatment in stylish black basins.
Vertical LED wall accents, dark privacy drapery, and bespoke wall finishes create a relaxed mood.
A canopy of crimson autumn foliage suspended above the main styling mirrors adds an artistic flourish.
